Travel Team Try-Out Dates and Times

Tryouts are HERE! 

12U - 14U (Middle & Elementary School Ages)
July 8th - July 13th

15U - 18U (High School Ages)
July 15th to 20th 

We ask that athletes' attend the tryout that is specific to their grade/peer group. Age groups are determined by USAV guidelines and are based from a July 1 yearly date. In the event that your athlete's peer group and age group do not align, please reach out to club administration (ECVAinfo@gmail.com) for additional guidance! 
Athletes are strongly encouraged to play with their peer group for recruiting purposes, however should a situation present where a change is necessary, these moves will be handled on a case-by-case basis in conjuction with ECVA administrative staff. Below is a listing of age groups with concurrent grades.  July 1, 2027 is the cutoff date for each age group. Please reference the USA Volleyball age chart ( Link Coming Soon) as necessary. 

5th Grade - 11U
6th Grade - 12U
7th Grade - 13U
8th Grade - 14U
9th Grade - 15U
10th Grade - 16U
11th Grade - 17U
12th Grade - 18U

Unable to make tryouts? Not a problem! We will have scheduled make-up dates as well as flexible evaluation dates for athletes whose schedules do not allow them to attend their original tryout date. If you need to schedule a make-up tryout, please reach out to ECVA Administrators and we will be happy to work with you!   

All players must register online for tryouts.  Early Bird Registration is $50 before June 15th, registration starting June 16th is $60, and payment on the day of the tryout is $70 at the door.  Both credit cards and cash payments are accepted in person at the gym.   

East Coast tryouts are not only evaluations for team placement, but learning opportunities for each athlete who attends. Our tryouts will be a fast-paced, fun environment where athletes are evaluated on skill level, effort, attitude, and coachability. We recognize that tryouts can be a stressful time for both athletes and parents and do our best to facilitate an environment of learning and fun! 

We encourage you to come to both days of tryouts. The more chances the coaches have to see you play, the better overall evaluation they will be able to give. 

Once you have registered for tryouts we do not issue refunds.  Sessions are staffed based on registration numbers so we are unable to give refunds for not attending.  Thank you for understanding!
