Want to be the best?

If you want to be the best, you have to train like the best athletes.  Our athletes are now given the opportunity to train with PEAK Athletics.  They are providing us with professional trianing and elite level coaching.  Their certified staff are going to take our athletes through volleyball specific training to improve strength, speed, agility, mental toughness, and injury recovery.  

Injury Prevention

When we play sports we always run the chance of an injury. However, a structured strength and conditioning program can help prevent serious injuries.  Here is an article from the University of Florida:

MaryBeth Horodyski, an assistant professor with UF's department of exercise and sports sciences, said a three-year study of athlete injuries shows that players who follow a controlled strength-training program reduce their chances of suffering from severe injuries.

Seventy-eight percent of severe injuries to the upper body struck non-lifting athletes, or those students who were not in a controlled weight-lifting program, Horodyski said. And non-lifting athletes accounted for 64 percent of those with severe injuries to the lower body.

"These are very significant numbers," said Horodyski, director of athletic training education at UF. "The bottom line is, those kids who did strength training typically did not have as severe injuries. They more often had mild or moderate injuries."

What do we offer?

<span style="font-family: Calibri, Helvetica, sans-serif, EmojiFont, " apple="" color="" emoji",="" "segoe="" ui="" notocoloremoji,="" symbol",="" "android="" emojisymbols;="" font-size:="" 16px;="" background-color:="" rgb(255,="" 255,="" 255);"="">We are excited to announce our partnership with PEAK Athletics to provide professional speed, agility, jump/power training and Sports Performance services.  Groups of 10-15 athletes in each 30 minute session will focus on the development of speed, agility, quickness and power needed for every athlete to reach their greatest potential.  Sessions will be scheduled throughout the evenings Monday-Thursday. Pricing options include 1x/week for $79 for the month or 2x/week for $139 for the month.  

Class times will be right before or right before practice times.  This way all of our practice slots have the ability to arrive early or stay right after their practice to train.
